David is the Founder and President of The GMP Collective and serves on NCIA's Facility Design Committee. He leads a team of experts from the pharmaceutical, medical device, and food industries to implement or improve GMP quality systems to increase operational efficiencies of growing cannabis and hemp businesses.
David holds a Master's degree and is a Certified Lead Auditor. He has been deeply involved in the industry as both an educator and strategic advisor. His work has included the successful development of a Cannabis Quality Assurance course for a Canadian university, development and passing of the first ASTM International Standard on Method Development and Validation, and has submitted several invited articles and talks in industry journals and conferences. Prior to founding The GMP Collective, he held positions as the Director of Quality Assurance, and as Managing Consultant and Lead Auditor for the largest certification body in the world.
When not busy educating clients or leading his team of consultants, you can find him trail running with his dog, backcountry skiing, or devouring chocolate ice cream.
