FAQ: How Are My #CannaBizSummit Registration Fees Used?
June 07, 2017 by Cannabis Business Summit Staff
It’s no surprise that you have to buy a ticket to attend NCIA’s Cannabis Business Summit & Expo. But have you ever wondered how your registration fee is used and where that money goes?
Today we’re giving you a glimpse behind the scenes, outlining the three major ways your money is put to work:
Producing a Premium Quality Event
NCIA’s Cannabis Business Summit & Expo prides itself on producing a premium quality event that is unmatched in networking, educational programming, and presentation.
The content for our pre-summit workshops, bootcamps, CLEs, and general-summit tracks are all developed on a peer-reviewed panel process. We strictly adhere to these standards to make sure we are able to provide content that is forward-looking and enlightening to our attendees.
Additionally, all registration passes include benefits such as complimentary breakfast and lunch, attendance to both networking receptions, and access to all available speaker slides and MP3s on-demand post-conference.
Advocating for Federal Cannabis Reform
NCIA is the nation’s only industry-led organization engaging in legislative efforts to expand and further legitimize the legal cannabis market in the U.S. We publicly advocate for the unique needs of our emerging industry and defend your business against the many threats to legal cannabis and cannabis-related products. We are on the ground in Washington, D.C., daily, meeting with legislators and lobbying on the Hill for the fair and just treatment of cannabis businesses.
Our most recent milestone of influential bipartisan support for 280E reform is one example of how we are working to improve the legislative landscape for your business. Other legislative initiatives we are currently working on include protecting the Cole Memo and working for fair banking access.
Providing Member Services
NCIA members are privy to a variety of benefits. Along with providing political representation at the federal level, NCIA hosts regular educational and networking events to strengthen the cannabis community and elevate sophistication throughout the industry.
Through networking events such as our Quarterly Cannabis Caucuses, Lobby Days, and large symposiums like the Cannabis Business Summit & Expo, we work to bring together the best and brightest operators and business owners in the industry to enjoy learning from each other and to explore business opportunities.
Another large part of our member services includes access to information. Our events are one channel for members to access information, but through platforms such as the NCIA member newsletter, NCIA white papers and NCIA’s partnership with BDS GreenEdge, our members are able to receive the information they need to more successfully and intelligently operate their businesses.
NCIA’s Cannabis Business Summit & Expo is the only cannabis business event backed by the national trade association representing your business interests. We work for you, and we hope you can see that your registration fee is allocated to activities that directly benefit your Summit experience, your business, and your ability to operate successfully.
Prices for the Summit will increase at the door, and this event will sell out.
