JAY CZARKOWSKI



Jay serves as a Senior Partner with CANNA Advisors, a national cannabis industry consulting firm focusing on the design, build, and start-up operations of medical cannabis facilities. Born and raised in Newington, Connecticut, Jay is a native of the New England area. He earned his Electrical Engineering degree at Norwich University and started his first business in Storrs, Connecticut. In 2001, he launched his real estate development company, Construction Design Group.

After building everything from multi-family projects to ski resort developments, Jay became a pioneer in the medical cannabis industry in 2009 by founding Boulder Kind Care (BKC). His background gave him a keen advantage in understanding regulation, building processes and operations, and BKC quickly became one of the most successful medical cannabis businesses in Colorado. One of the key areas that lead to BKC’s success was its ability to consistently produce large amounts of high quality, pharmaceutical-grade cannabis. It was Jay’s vision in design and process that made the facilities state-of-the-art. In the spring of 2012, Jay sold his business in order to dedicate his time to business consulting and advocacy. CANNA Advisors has been a Member of NCIA since its founding and BKC was a Founding Member.
