Henry Wykowski is regarded as one of the leading trial attorneys in the cannabis industry. He distinguished himself in the defense of the landmark case CHAMP v. Commissioner, recognizing the right of dispensaries to deduct cost of goods sold and limiting the punitive applicability of IRC Sec. 280E to those expenses directly related to the trafficking of a controlled substance. Since CHAMP, Henry has been the lead attorney in the cannabis industry’s most important cases, including the recent forfeiture actions against Harborside Health Center, Berkeley Patient's Group and Shambhala.
